Local projects have been given a cash boost as they become the latest applicants to receive funding from the Collaborative Communities Targeted Finance Package (TFP).

Preseli Rural Transport Association received £4,254 towards the installation of a new vehicle lift and a new up-to-date website.

Preseli Rural Transport Association (PRTA), also known as Green Dragon Bus based in Bwlchygroes, was established in 2002 to provide services aimed at the elderly, disabled groups and people in rural areas providing transport at an affordable cost. They currently have five buses that provide dial-a-ride services, one off day trips and bus hire.

Theatre Gwaun has been granted £15,000 to convert their 35mm projection equipment to Digital Cinema Initiative (DCI) compliant system so that Theatre Gwaun can generate a sustainable, developing, inclusive and diverse programme of activities to enhance communities of West Wales.

The project is also supported by the Arts Council Wales.

Collaborative Communities is a unique partnership project formed between the County Voluntary Councils and local authorities, to help voluntary and community organisations become financially sustainable and to promote Social Enterprises.
