Grwp Llwybr Poppit Path Group recently organised their first beach clean activity of the year in partnership with Keep Wales Tidy at Poppit Sands. The group have been aiming to tackle the marine litter problem following the recent storms as well as raising awareness for the need of a public footpath running from Poppit to St Dogmaels.
The event was a great success with well over 60 volunteers taking part collecting 38 bags of rubbish as well as numerous tyres and other flotsam and jetsam.
The group are now planning their next clean up and hope to work in partnership with other volunteer groups and Keep Wales Tidy to rid our beaches of litter.
