Tourists - and locals - are being urged to get active in Ceredigion next month.

Twristiaeth Ceredigion Tourism is promoting an activities month entitled 'Get Active in Cardigan Bay' throughout April.

"Following a members' survey in May 2013 it became apparent that the condensed nature of the holiday season of May to September was a major issue to members and their businesses. There was also a desire for businesses from different sectors to work more closely together," said CTC chairman Gareth Edwards.

Following a successful pilot scheme last October of Cardigan Bay Food Month, CTC are promoting a series of themed months this year including a walking festival in September, food month in October and Christmas fairs and shopping in November/December.

"We live in a beautiful, unspoilt part of the country and we hope to bring the wonders of our County to a wider audience. April is a great opportunity for everyone to enjoy some great new experiences in spectacular surroundings, with many businesses also giving some great offers. Whether it's sailing in New Quay, walking in the Cambrian Mountains, or a round of golf in Aberystwyth there really is something for everyone," added Mr Edwards.
