Employees of Pembrokeshire County Council who have delivered exceptional customer service can be recognised in the Council’s Unsung Hero Award 2014.

Nominations for the awards are now open for any Council employee.

“If you’ve experienced first-class service, then why not nominate that person for the Unsung Hero award?” said Ian Westley, County Council Director of Transportation, Housing and Environment.

“It could be a social worker, housing officer, refuse collector – or perhaps somebody who works in a school, or a customer service centre.

“If you feel that someone has delivered a really excellent service, then we want to hear about it.”

The winner of the Unsung Hero Award 2013 was Lisa Starkey, Fishguard Leisure Centre Duty Officer.

Highly commended were Wyndham Arnold, Social Services transport driver; Nicola Cunningham, Leisure Centre attendant, and John Hughes, Car Park attendant.

Nomination forms are available at www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk, from customer service centres, or by calling Pembrokeshire County Council on 01437 764551.

Completed nomination forms need to be returned by May 2.
