A TEAM of pupils from Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn in Carmarthenshire have won the online Carmarthenshire round of the Young Consumers of the Year Competition.
The team of four, Mark Ramsey, Luke Webb, Andrew Lemmon and Jack Davies, will now represent Carmarthenshire at the Welsh regional competition to be held on March 24-25 at Cardiff City Stadium.
The winning team from the Welsh final will go on to represent Wales at the UK Final at the annual Trading Standards Institute conference in Harrogate on June 30 to July 1.
The competition is organised nationally by the Trading Standards Institute and locally by the Carmarthenshire Trading Standards Services section.
The council’s executive board member for public protection Cllr Jim Jones said: “I would like to congratulate Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn and wish them well in the Welsh finals.”
