The Met Office is predicting winds of up to 65mph for the local area this afternoon.
Residents are being warned that damage may occur to weakened structures and trees in these stronger gusts, and a Yellow Wind Warning is to be issued.
Minor disruption is expected.
A persistent band of rain will turn to frequent heavy showers from midday, with potential to give localised flooding on the roads.
On Saturday a windy and showery day can be expected. Gusts of wind up to 50 mph in the westerly/north-westerly wind around the coast of West and North Wales may also give some minor impacts where trees/structures are already weakened.
On Sunday a mainly dry day is expected but further rain will spread across Wales during the evening/overnight.
