High winds have brought down trees and damaged buildings in the Cardigan area as weather forecasts report gusts of up to 100mph.
A tree has been blown down in Greenfield Square, Cardigan, and there are reports that slates have blown off the roof of Tesco damaging cars.
Several schools have closed to let pupils go home early.
