The History Group (Heddiw a Ddoe) of St.Dogmaels, which was closely involved with the research of the Abbey and surrounding area, raised funds from talks and functions to exhibit local interesting historical events. The last one being an exhibition of local Suffragettes and their activities in the locality, at the Coach House in the village, which was an outstanding success. From money raised it seemed appropriate to make a generous donation to the War Memorial Project planning group. The presentation was made by the Chairman, Norman High, and received on behalf of the group by Nia Siggins. In thanking the History Group Nia informed them that the donation would help to raise the necessary funds to achieve this aim. The fund currently standing at £4200.
