Newcastle Emlyn Country Market was officially opened on Friday by S4C presenter Sara Edwards. Sara gave a very positive opening speech and cut a cord of home-spun, home dyed wool to officially re-open the market. The Country Market, a co-operative of local producers has been operating in Newcastle Emlyn for many years, but is pleased to have moved to a more central location at the Football Club, off the mart car park. With new producers joining all the time the market currently hosts a wide range of locally made products including, baking, wool, willow weaving, plants, jewellery, knitted and sewn products, eggs and locally grown seasonal vegetables.
