BWCABUS is helping to maintain improved bus service on key routes in North Carmarthenshire and South Ceredigion.

There were huge concerns when The Arriva 40 and 50 services were withdrawn in December.

Both Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion councils move quickly in close partnership with Welsh Government to replace and improve routes running from Aberystwyth to Lampeter and Carmarthen on the 40, 40c and the Aberystwyth to Synod Inn X50 services.

The new services have also integrated with the Bwcabus network with a new ticketing arrangement, making passenger opportunities even more expansive whilst improving connecting journeys.

The Bwcabus service, backed with financial contributions from the European Regional Development fund and Welsh Government, is geared up to connect with these new services, taking people from rural settlements into local towns and villages or connect with main line service to travel further afield.

County executive board, member for transport services Cllr Colin Evans said: “Passengers can now use Bwcabus to connect with the 40,40c and X50 services with a single ticket even if a change of bus is required.

“Ticketing difficulties have been a barrier to using the connecting services in the past. But Bwcabus has worked closely with both local authorities and Welsh Government to make improvements and now offers a wide range of tickets to commuters, making journeys easier.”

You can purchase your day return, twelve trip tickets West Wales Rover Ticket or Bwcabus Saturday Saver Ticket on board the Bwcabus.
