Flood misery returned for residents of Cardigan over the weekend - but they were spared the worst compared to a few weeks ago.
Areas of the Strand, Gloster Row, St Mary Street and Quay Street car park flooded - but the water only lapped at residents' doorsteps with only a minimum of water getting into the houses.
"It is a lucky escape," said local county councillor John Adams-Lewis who was on hand throughout the flooding.
But he called for Natural Resources Wales and the local authority to have a meeting to sort out a solution.
"There seems to be a problem with flaps on the drains," he said.
Local resident Bob Doyle said: "Water seems to be coming up through the stop cock which can't be right."
