The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority is encouraging people to show their love for the National Park as the traditional celebrations of St Dwynwen’s Day and Valentine’s Day take place.

The National Park doesn’t require a box of chocolates or a romantic greetings card, all it needs is a little of your time and some tender loving care, especially following the recent storms.

Much of the coast was battered by a combination of high tides and extreme weather and help is needed as the clean-up operation gets into full swing.

National Park Authority Chairman Cllr Mike James said: “There are so many ways to get involved to help keep your National Park special, from becoming a Voluntary Warden, to taking part in one of the many beach cleans organised locally.

“Even reporting any damage you come across on your travels across the National Park and Coast Path will help ensure that any problems are fixed as quickly as possible so that everyone can continue to enjoy the Park in all its beauty.”

The National Park Authority has teamed up with Keep Wales Tidy to organise a beach clean at Marloes Sands on Sunday, February 2.

Volunteers should meet at the Marloes car park at 12 noon. Litter-pickers, gloves and bin bags will be provided but suitable clothing and sturdy footwear should be worn.
