Pembrokeshire County Council wants to know about its residents’ travel needs.

Together with neighbouring councils across the Swansea Bay City Region, it has commissioned a Travel Pattern Survey to find out how people travel to various destinations or activities and what they think about services.

The survey will be carried out by AECOM consultants, whose staff will be visiting random households across the county next month.

AECOM staff will ask selected households to complete a seven day travel diary and questionnaire and will then return a week later to collect the completed questionnaire.

All staff will carry identification and explanatory letters on council headed notepaper, and all responses will be anonymous.

The survey results, which should be completed this summer, will help local authorities plan for improved transport provision in the area.

The first 20 completed questionnaires (picked out of a hat) will also have the chance to win a £50 thank-you prize awarded by AECOM.
