An annual crime and disorder review is underway in Ceredigion.

The Ceredigion Community Safety Partnership, which includes representatives from the council, Police, Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Panel, Fire and Rescue Service and the Fire and Rescue Authority, Wales Probation Trust, Local Health Board, Public Health Service, Youth Justice Service, and Substance Misuse Action Team is currently carrying out an assessment of crime and disorder related issues in the county.

The purpose of the Assessment is to provide knowledge and understanding of community safety problems, and will also be utilised to inform the Local Service Board’s Single Integrated Plan

The partnership has distributed a number of questionnaires throughout the county to a wide variety of organizations and individuals, and is available at www.ceredigion.gov.uk/crimeanddisordersurvey,

The consultation will run until February 1.

A Joint Community Consultative Meeting in conjunction with Dyfed-Powys Police, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Hywel Dda Health Board and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner with senior representatives from Ceredigion Community Safety Partnership in attendance is planned for Wednesday January 22, in the Council Chamber, Penmorfa, Aberaeron, at 7pm.

The meeting is an opportunity to play a part in shaping future policing and community safety priorities for Ceredigion. There will be short presentations, followed by an opportunity to raise issues or concerns.
