Free energy assessment checks are being offered by Ceredigion's housing renewal area team following concerns about poor energy efficiency within the housing stock.
In order to maximise potential funding opportunities, the council needs to improve its knowledge of the energy rating of the different domestic property archetypes found in the county. The council is looking to undertake approximately 150 whole house assessments, to include Eco, Green Deal and Renewal Heat Incentive Assessments for energy efficiency measures and renewable energy installations for privately owned properties. This will include a cross-section of different types of properties, e.g cavity wall to solid stone wall, bungalows to large 3 storey properties.
