When a 37-year-old Cardigan woman failed to turn up at Ceredigion Magistrates Court on Wednesday on shoplifting charges a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Charity Jessica Hannah Penny, of St Mary Street, Cardigan, who was represented by Alan Lewis, faced two charges of theft in the town centre on Friday, December 6.
She was alleged to have stolen clothing and accessories to the value of £40 from the Original Factory Shop and clothing and accessories to the value of £25 from Peacocks.
After Mr Lewis said he did not know why his client was not in court prosecutor Gerald Neave successfully applied for a warrant without bail.
