Pembrokeshire Hogspital has admitted the first hedgehog of 2014.
Noddy from Llanon, was taken in on Sunday, weighing just 409g and far too small to survive the winter.
Beryl Steadman of Pembrokeshire Hogspital said: “Any hedgehog out in the day or weighing less than 650g needs to be picked up, kept warm and dry and fed with meaty dog or cat food and water then call for help as it is not straight forward looking after hedgehogs.”
Pembrokeshire Hogspital is appealing to anyone able to help with transportation of hedgehogs to call 01437 779461.
Howey Hedgehog Rescue 01597 824951 deals with rescues in the Aberaeron area and north Ceredigion.
