A young child was airlifted to hospital after being seriously injured in a crash on the main road between Llechryd and Cenarth on Boxing Day.
The accident happened at lunchtime when the VW Polo, driven by a 19-year-old woman from the Cardigan area, mounted the grass verge on the nearside and collided with a stone wall.
The little girl was in the back seat of the car.
The vehicle sustained substantial side impact damage and both persons were seriously injured in the collision, the young girl was airlifted to the Heath hospital, Cardiff, her current condition is described as critical. The driver is at Glangwili hospital with a serious injury. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police on 101.
