Sports clubs and others in Llandysul are gearing up for huge opposition to proposed funding cuts by Ceredigion County Council.
Members of the local football, cricket and bowls clubs say the council plan, which has been necessitated by a large reduction in the Welsh Assembly local government budget say it will have a detrimental effect on sport in the area.
Cricket club stalwart Aled Jones said “I hope everyone interested in sport will turn up in large numbers to impress on council leaders that this will really hit this rural community.”
The meeting is being held at Llandysul Memorial Hall on Wednesday, January 8 between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.
