FOR the fourth year in succession the Quay West lady fundraisers for the RNLI donated a substantial sum to the charity as a result of hard work during the summer.
The total of £3407.00 came from table top sales, raffles and a ‘name the teddy’. competition Thanks to their efforts the sum raised has increased every year and is a great tribute to their dedication.
When receiving their cheque Roger Couch, Lifeboat Operations Manager at New Quay said,
"We really appreciate the length which the ladies go to in order to raise these large amounts for the RNLI. We need first class equipment in order to carry out our job of saving lives at sea and rely heavily on the financial support such as this. We are also grateful to the management at Quay West who also support the RNLI and the work of this committee."
