Local sixth former wins top film prize

NEWCASTLE Emlyn sixth form student, Hattie Morrison, aged 16, won the Grand Prize at the British Film Institute Kids for Kids film festival last weekend.
Her three minute short film Hideaway, was selected as winner of The UK Grand Prize for Outstanding Short Film in the under 19 category.
The original film was shortlisted in July, and she was invited to the BFI on the South Bank in London to watch the shortlisted films on the full size screen at the National Film Theatre.
The International Jury praised Hattie for her rich aesthetic, beautifully conceived, skillfully shot and edited film.
