Bumper summer for hall

ABERPORTH Village Hall has had a bumper summer with revenue collected from the car parks topping £18k - the biggest total ever.
The three car parks are owned by the village hall and fees go directly towards the upkeep of the hall and village recreation areas.
As an added bonus honesty boxes installed in the car park have also seen record takings.
"Great holiday weather, diligent car park attendants and generous locals have all added up," said hall chairman Dai Ogilvie.
The sum raised during the summer has paid for new tarmac and line spacings at Brynseion car park.
The village hall has a range of c.lubs including bowls, table tennis, flower arranging and ballet, catering for all ages.
The latest activity is plans for a wi-fi suite where residents can bring laptops for tuition and exchange computer knowledge.
The committee are also looking to raise funds to replace the hall with a new modern building on its current site
