CEREDIGION MP Mark Williams has welcomed publication of legislation for a new tax allowance which will help small businesses.
The legislation will give a £2,000 a year allowance to businesses that pay employer national insurance.
Mr Williams said:“This will help all businesses, but it is smaller businesses in particular will really feel the benefit.
“Ceredigion has one of the highest proportion of small businesses than any other constituency, many of which do not employ people or employ more people because of the burden of the employer national insurance.
“The Liberal Democrats have been working hard in government to introduce tax changes to encourage employment and this is a really significant step in the right direction.”
