An Aberporth motorist is to put forward a special reasons argument why he should not be disqualified from driving after pleading guilty to a drink/drive charge.
When he appeared at Ceredigion Magistrates court 40-year-old Christopher Chaudhuri, of 4 Hillfield Place, Parcllyn, Aberporth, who was represented by Alison Mathias, admitted an excess alcohol offence on an unclassified road leading to Constitution Hill in Aberystwyth. The offence was committed on December 7 last year.
The court was told that Chaudhuri had 100 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35.
The case was adjourned for a special reasons hearing.
