The women of Cwm Gwaun have raised £1,200 for Friends of Crossroads in Pembrokeshire.

Rocesi’r Fro, an association of women in Cwm Gwaun and the surrounding countryside, set out to raise money for Crossroads after hearing about the work they do to support people caring for family members at home.

Members of the group held a sponsored walk over footpaths and bridleways in farmland above the Gwaun.

President Norma Hopkins said; “We are very happy to be able to present this money to Crossroads to provide much-needed help to the many people who become carers and who do a demanding and important job.

“We must also thank all those who supported us in our walk, including our sponsors and those who generously gave donations in kind.”
