A man accused of punching another man several times to the face while on the ground, fracturing his cheek and jaw which required surgery and the insertion of plates and screws, has pleaded not guilty to a wounding charge.

Dean Andrew John White, aged 20, formerly of 53 The Beeches, Llandysul, and now of Brynmor Road, Llanelli who was represented by Aled Owen, pleaded not guilty to a charge of unlawfully and maliciously wounding Mark Anthony Summers at The Beeches in September last year.

After the defendant elected to be tried at the crown court the case was adjourned until August 14 for committal papers to be prepared. White was given unconditional bail.
