Two wins and maximum points in successive weeks have taken Aberystwyth 13 points clear of champions Cardigan at the head of affairs, and it goes without saying that the Cardis will need to do the business at Lampeter tomorrow to stay in contention.

Aberteifi made ground by springing an 89-65 win over Aberaeron on the Gwbert Road green and in the process banked 12 points.

The top home rink comprised Kazi Lorenz, Martin Stellard, Gareth Davies and Roy Mathews (skip) who romped it 30-17 against Gary Jones, John Moulton, Mansel Leonard and Roger Griffiths (skip).
