Dear Editor,
We are writing to say how sad and upset we are that our Self-Advocacy Project run by Ceredigion Advocacy, has lost its funding and will be closing next week.
We love attending the Cardigan group each week and look forward to meeting our friends, finding support, doing workshops and other interesting activities. The group means a lot to us and we will greatly miss it.
It as it has been fun and given us lots of confidence , given us a voice and a chance to discuss important things and changes in our lives.
The group was also important as it got us out of our care homes and made us feel part of the community and valued and not hidden away.
We think it is very wrong and unfair that yet another service for people with learning disabilities has been cut in Ceredigion.
Thelma Williams, John Gardener & other members of the Cardigan SA group.
