Dear Editor

During the afternoon of Friday 6th of June I, along with my long term girlfriend laid a very modest bunch of flowers at the Cardigan War memorial and later that afternoon passed again, was amazed, no, make that disgusted, that the the town didn't even lay a single floral tribute, our bunch of flowers was the only one there. D Day for many included the ultimate sacrifice to enable us to life in peace and freedom we now take for granted and not 100 yards away in Cardigan Comprehensive School A level History is taught , maybe History should include remembering our dead on this special occasion as most veterans will not be alive in another 10 years, as for our town council, never mind, people have long memories and I dare say you will all be canvassing for our votes in the not too distant future.
