Dear Editor,
I write to you as someone who has followed the argument about the coastal path at Gwbert, and I feel that I cannot leave unchallenged Mr Jenkins comment about councillors wasting public money. The real culprit to be blamed for wasting public money is Mr Jenkins himself. It would be interesting to put in a public information request to see how much money has been spent countering Mr Jenkins’ obstructional position. It would not be surprising if it ran into hundreds of thousands of pounds, all being provided by the tax payers of Ceredigion.
Not only could this money be used in far more deserving areas, but the time spent by council officers on this case could be gainfully spent elsewhere. It is time this national asset was opened to the public for the enjoyment of locals and visitors alike.
