Manorbier Castle Swings Again

By popular request: the Rintins return to Manorbier Castle for another supercharged evening of festival swing. The band’s ethos is to “Keep Them Dancing”. Their blend of gipsy swing rhythms and pounding oopma beat compels audiences to get up and live the music! The band is in demand at festivals throughout the UK and overseas, - Glastonbury, Boomtown, Shambala, Womad and many more. Following “Swing the Castle” at Manorbier, they are performing at Edgefest in Solva before travelling to Germany to headline the Focus Festival in Gorlitz.

This year, the Rintins are accompanied by Karsilama, who combine original Balkan and Klezmer music with their own original beats: a wild musical ride driven by frenetic violin, footstomping accordion and powerhouse vocals.

Manorbier Castle is a great venue with lawns sloping down to the band stage set up in front of the chapel and great hall; as dusk falls it creates its own magical atmosphere! There is plenty of room to sit and enjoy the music, a burger or a drink from the bar, or bring your own picnic ... or you can get up and dance by the stage!

“Swing the Castle” is an evening for everyone.

Jim Davies of the Rintins said:“Manorbier is special, an amazing venue, and we just love swinging the castle.”

Profits from the event will be donated to MIND Pembrokeshire and will help to support their resource centre in Haverfordwest and their work supporting mental health in our community.

Swing the Castle takes place on Friday 3rd August. The gates open at 6.30PM with live music from 7.30 to 10.00PM. Ticket will be available at the door: Adults £8.00, Families £20.00. Parking is available in the Manorbier beach carpark.
