FORMBY follows George Formby’s rise from awkward stable boy to one of Britain’s biggest stars and will be at Theatr Mwldan in Cardigan on Monday, October 16 at 7.30pm.

In a unique one-man performance, Ewan Wardrop plays the title role, as well as all the key characters involved in this fascinating slice of his life.

Formby is a funny, touching and thoughtful play of an essentially ordinary man with an extraordinary talent. This sensational production features many of Formby’s classic hits brilliantly performed live by Wardrop on the ukulele, including: Blackpool Rock, Leaning On A Lamp-Post, When I’m Cleaning Windows, TT Races, and many more.

‘The Daily Telegraph has called the performance ‘a little stick of theatrical dynamite’ , while Three Weeks says ‘Wardrop mesmerises his audience. Beautifully executed’.

Broadway Baby’s review states: ‘Ewan Wardrop is exceptional and vastly talented. Exuding the charisma of the star’.

Tickets for the show are £14, £12 for concessions and £3 Mates Rates (for 11-18 year olds, see our website for details) and are available now from Theatr Mwldan’s box office on 01239 621200, online at www.mwldan.co.uk or via the new Mwldan app.
