FOR their late summer production the Cilgerran Players are putting on two linked one-act comedies: Last Tango in Cilgerran and Last Panto in Cilgerran.

The autocratic director of a much-depleted amateur dramatics society decides to spice up its traditional offerings in order to boost audience numbers.

Determining that sex sells tickets, he writes innuendo-laden scripts for which unfortunately the three remaining members of the company are entirely unsuited.

We see the hilarious squabbles of this ill-assorted quartet in committee and in rehearsal and catch a final awful glimpse of them onstage …
