THE National Theatre Live encore screening of Angels in America Part 2 - Perestroika will be broadcast at Cardigan’s Theatre Mwldan on Thursday, August 24 at 7pm

Andrew Garfield stars in this critically acclaimed, sell-out National Theatre production in two parts, with the first part having been played at Theatr Mwldan on August 17.

The production is set in America in the mid-1980s. In the midst of the AIDS crisis and a conservative Reagan administration, New Yorkers grapple with life and death, love and sex, heaven and hell.

An incredible and epic drama set against the backdrop of the AIDS crisis, the play offers a pertinent critique of American conservative politics, delivered with fantastically funny writing and brilliantly entertaining performances from a star-studded cast.

Andrew Garfield (Silence, Hacksaw Ridge) plays Prior Walter along with a cast including Denise Gough (People, Places and Things), Nathan Lane (The Producers), James McArdle (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and Russell Tovey (The Pass).

This new staging of Tony Kushner’s multi-award winning two-part play is directed by Olivier and Tony award winning director Marianne Elliott (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and War Horse), and has been receiving five-star reviews, terrific audience responses and an entirely sold out run.

The Daily Telegraph describes it as a ‘start to finish sensation’ while the Sunday Times says it ‘makes your spirit soar’.

Tickets for National Theatre Live screenings are £12.50 (£11.50 concessions) and are available now from Theatr Mwldan’s box office on 01239 621200, on-line at www.mwldan.co.uk or via smartphones.
