A NEW Indian-Welsh world music band fusing elements of Welsh folk, Indian classical, jazz and rock is the latest offering from SpanJazz.

The band is made up of four musicians from Welsh jazz/folk band Burum, who have joined forces with three of India’s genre-breaking musicians to create a fresh new sound.

The amalgamation of these two nations coming together musically creates an innovative and fresh new sound which is exciting audiences from all over.

Think Miles Davis 1970s grunge-funk crossed with the Pat Metheny group, mixed with passages of melancholic Welsh folk and Indian classical virtuosity. A unique take on classic jazz to say the least.

Span Arts' long-running jazz monthly takes place in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere at the Plas Hyfryd Hotel, Narberth. Food is also available.

Tickets are £10/9/5 (full/Span Arts members and concessions/student).
