Narberth born Dylan Owen is becoming the latest musical talent to emerge from Pembrokeshire with his talent for playing and composing for his instrument – the tenor saxophone.

Returning to SpanJazz this summer Dylan is playing at The Dingle on Wednesday, July 15.

Now in his third year of music studies at Leeds College of music, Dylan was a student at Preseli and Thomas Picton School, being taught the sax by his teacher, Jim Luxton.

The Spanjazz audience has been treated to his inspired playing several times, most notably this time last year when he brought a group of players from Leeds to entertain a sold out Dingle with a sparkling performance of standard songs and original tunes.

This July he returns with four of his third year colleagues hailing from all parts of the country.

Matte Cliffe on alto sax is from Stoke on Trent, Joe Simmonds from Barnstable plays guitar, Elliot Raffe is on double bass from Cheltenham, and the Drummer Simon Henry is originally from Warrington.

Judging by their appearances last summer, this will be an unmissable event for the discerning Spanjazz audience to taste the dynamic music made by the young music stars of tomorrow.

Tickets are £5 and available from www.span-arts.org.uk or by calling 01834 869323.
