PEMBROKESHIRE X Factor sensation Jay James will be a special guest at Pembroke Castle on July 5, supporting Classical Brit Award winners Only Men Aloud.

The Saundersfoot singer will be on the bill for a special concert that will also feature West End performer Sophie Evans and Tenby Male Choir, who celebrate their fortieth anniversary this year.

The man described by Simon Cowell as “incredible”, and “a genius” reached the X Factor finals last year, with renditions of songs like Say Something (Great Big World), and 500 Miles.

Jay has since completed the X Factor Live Tour in arenas across the country, and is in the Top 10 HeatWorld / Heat Magazine Hottest Hunks of 2015.

He has gone on to write and collaborate with industry names including John Legend and Booker T Jones.

Wales’ Sophie Evans played Dorothy in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium for a couple of years, before embarking on a solo career.

Only Men Aloud’s new generation eight man line-up will be performing songs from their new album, their fifth studio recording, which will be released in the summer.

From winning BBC’s Last Choir Standing and appearing on the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special to scooping a Classical Brit Album of the Year Award and performing to a global TV audience at the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics, Only Men Aloud has developed a huge following.

Their new album, Only Men Aloud On The Road is out in early June, produced through PledgeMusic, allowing fans the opportunity to invest in it through sales of exclusives such as gold disks and unique OMA performances. To discover more, check out www.onlymenaloud.com

The vocal group has varied in size according to requirements, sometimes having 20 men on stage performing a varied repertoire that covers everything from Welsh traditional music and Opera to Tom Jones and Coldplay.
