Theatr Gwaun Fishguard’s youth theatre is giving a very special one-off performance on Saturday February 21, 2.30pm

Written specially for the cast, Sanctuary tells the story of a child bullied because of her height who befriends a strange old lady outcast from the village because of her unusual way of living. Mrs Jackson collects rubbish and makes it into artefacts which she displays in her garden. The local people plot to throw her out of the village as they her garden is an eyesore and will not help the villagers get an award for best kept village.

Meanwhile Jess wants to join the local gang of children but in order to do so has to perform an initiation which involves trashing Mrs Jackson’s garden. The two outcasts become friends and Jess learns that to be different is ok.

A heart warming story of friendship between young and old interspersed with music as youngsters aged eight to 16 perform their own creative piece of dramatic art.

Tickets are £6 for adults, £4 for children.
