Paradise 9 returns Wales when it comes to the UFO Club, 25/26 Quay Street, Cardigan, on Saturday, November 1.

The band will be joined on stage with special guest and local hero Nik Turner, formerly of Hawkwind, playing sax and flute.

Nik Turner also guested on their latest album Take me to the Future, playing on the title track. He has guested with the band many times, including their appearances at Glastonbury and Green Gathering festivals.

For Tyrone Thomas, Paradise 9 lead guitarist, this gig will be a return to his homeland. Tyrone attended Haverfordwest Grammar school until the age of 13 and played rugby for the county under 13’s.

His mother Irene Whale learnt to speak Welsh between the ages of 4-7 while living on a Welsh speaking farm as a World War II evacuee.

Tyrone a raw outsider soon fitted into the Generation X youth movement of Punk.

Joining Mark Perry's (Editor of the famous 'Sniffin Glue' fanzine) band Alternative TV, started Tyrone on a one man's journey of Rock 'n' Roll.

From the Ukraine to New York he has worked industriously at his trade.

Paradise 9’s latest album has received critical acclaim, getting extensive radio plays, and was shortlisted as Album of the Year 2013 on Bristol’s BCFM.

Support for their gig at The Cellar Bar will be the talented Cardigan-based instrumental electro-pop musical combo The Spookers.

Entrance is £5 and goodie bags for the best ghoulish fancy dress of the night.
