Making a Song and Dance of It is back on Saturday, November 15.

This eclectic annual Amnesty International Benefit, now in its eighth year, at Rhos-y-Gilwen, Cilgerran, is bigger and better than ever with wall to wall music and dancing 7.30pm till midnight. Last year's event was a sell out, so get your tickets early.

Getting your feet tapping and up onto the dance floor will be the amazing Boogilators, the fabulous Hornettes, the young and dynamic Burning Hat and Jamalot, awesome ceilidh band. There will also be a cameo appearance by a mystery guest as part of the evening's entertainment, and performing a varied set will be Cor Meibion Clwb Rygbi Aberteifi, Cardigan Rugby Club Male Voice Choir.

Kicking off the evening will be Jamalot and caller Lin Cram. The band was formed specially to perform for this Amnesty Benefit at Rhos-y-Gilwen three years ago and have been back ever since by popular demand.

The Hornettes, a three girl vocal group, recreate Tamla Mowtown, 60's Girl Group Songs and more with flair, pizzazz and more than a little chutzpah......beehives included! Arrangements and keyboards by BAFTA winning composer Rick Lloyd, founder member of 80s chart-topping group The Flying Pickets.

Headlining the evening are Aberystwth based four man band the popular Boogilators whose sound has evolved from early blues, R&B and jazz of the 40s and 50s. Their sound is driven by the Hammond organ and piano aided and abetted by wailing blues harp, sax and slide guitar. Great for dancing and romancing, the Boogilators always deliver.

And continuing in the tradition of show casing young local musical talent, Burning Hat, a dynamic duo will present an energetic, rhythmic bongos and drumming set.

Doors open at 7pm. Sarah-Jane Absalom and Jo Caswell will also be performing.

Tickets are £12 from Rhos-y-Gilwen www.rhosygilwen.co.uk or reserve on 01559 370088. All artists are generously donating their time and talents for free.
