The ever-popular Pint-sized Plays Script Slam is on again at Theatr Gwaun in Fishguard on October 4 starting at 7.30pm. Now in its seventh year, Pint-sized Plays is a leading international competition for short ten minute plays which this year attracted over 300 entries from all over the world with two of the finalists from the USA.

Many of the winners and runners up were performed in six Tenby pubs and The Mariners in Haverfordwest before going on the Script Slam where all ten plays will be performed and the audience gets to vote for their favourite. And, as ever, there will be plenty of laughs and plenty of originality and ingenuity on display. This, year one of the winning plays features Shakespeare and his editor, another has a railway station Tannoy that answers back, and a ventriloquist’s dummy that’s no dummy…

It is hoped that many of the plays’ authors will be at the Script Slam in the hope of picking up the coveted Pint-Pot winning trophy or the Half Pint for the runner up. There will also be prizes for the best performances as judged by Peter Richards, the Artistic Director of Fluellen Theatre Company. Every member of the audience gets a voting slip and pencil so they can cast their votes at the end of the evening.

The Pint-sized Plays 2014 Script Slam starts art 7.30 pm in Theatr Gwaun, West Street, Fishguard on Saturday October 4th. Tickets for the Script Slam are £6.50 on the door or just £5.50 booked on line at pintsizedplays.org.uk
