The Dirty Gentlemen is an exciting 7 piece Swamp Pop, Soul and New Orleans Rhythm and Blues band from London, standing defiant against the 'auto-tune industry' and busily fighting back for the old school! They're playing at Small World Theatre in Cardigan on Friday 26 September and warming up the dance floor is wondrous DJ selectress Miss Mitten!

Guitarist and singer George Elliot discovered his passion for the music whilst recording in the swamps of Louisiana with the ‘Scoundrels’. Here he got to meet and work with some of the pioneers of the genre and had the chance to soak up the sounds and rhythms of the bayou. On his return to London he gathered together a talented Blues loving musicians from London Blues Hub, to form The Dirty Gentlemen.

Their debut single, ‘Messy Lady’ came out in April 2nd and has received airplay on Huey Morgan’s BBC Radio 2 show & Craig Charles’ BBC Radio 6 Music Funk & Soul show. Their concoction of gritty guitar, growling Hammond organs, punching horns, kicking drums and bass, and heartfelt vocals has been reaching the ears of music lovers who can’t help but stomp their feet and keep coming back for more deep fried music...
