Small World Theatre is delighted to welcome Gabrielle Murphy, BBC Horizon Featured Artist of the month and another rising star, Delyth Mclean for a fabulous evening on Friday 5 September at Small World Theatre, Cardigan.

Gabrielle is a hugely talented 18 year old singer/ songwriter from Treherbert in the Rhondda Valleys and the newest name on the Horizons list. Gabrielle played a startling debut set on the Young Promoters Network stage at last year’s S?n Festival, earning herself an immediate invitation to come and play live that night on BBC Radio Wales show. Although she’s used to performing and has sung covers from a young age, she is now resolutely focused on writing her own songs. ‘Gabrielle very much reflects the natural eclecticism of her generation, encompassing a multitude of genres (Led Zeppelin to Marvin Gaye stirred with the melodic nouse of Fleetwood Mac and sass of Rihanna). Her most recent recording, ‘Lockdown’, is a hit single in waiting, one of the rare occasions where modern R&B glories in its soulful roots in Rhythm and Blues.’Adam Walton, BBC Radio Wales presenter.

Also performing, Delyth Mclean is an exciting take upon contemporary Welsh music, joining together the intensity that Soul music embodies, the sullen heart that seeps out Jazz, amid breathing out the tales, heartache and happiness that is found within modern contemporary Folk music. Don’t miss this evening of pure talent! Booking through smallworld.org.uk
