Doors…sardines…flowers…tax demand… Words you wouldn’t normally expect to see in the same sentence but typical, everyday words currently being used on the Attic stage during rehearsals of Michael Frayn's popular comedy “Noises Off”.

Coming to the Attic Theatre 28th - 30th August and 4th - 6th September, Noises Off is a farce-within-a-farce; a fast, frenetic and hilariously funny romp featuring an impressive ensemble cast.

The play is being directed by Elaine Thompson who remains undaunted by the multiple challenges such a production brings and who is totally enthused by the whole experience – “I have the most fantastic cast – rehearsals are energy-filled, everyone working hard as a team, set coming together… I am having so much FUN!”

The cast features many Attic stalwarts as well as several newer members to the group, and rehearsals are providing the hard-working players with a physical workout to rival any gym membership! A split level stage and countless props add to the excitement.

Regular visitors to the Attic Theatre will be astonished at the set created by Winston Munn – the stage has been transformed into a cacophony of doors, windows, stairs and balconies and for anyone already familiar with this particular (and slightly unusual) farce, there’s a big surprise in store for audiences as the play unfolds.

Online ticket sales are available via the Attic website (www.AtticPlayers.org.uk) or from Fair & Fabulous on Sycamore Street in Newcastle Emlyn.

Patrons are reminded that the Town Hall is under restoration at present, but the Attic Theatre remains open for business as usual and the Players look forward to sharing with their audiences what promises to be an unforgettable, farcical experience!
