Following the success of the Film Festival at the Attic Theatre, Newcastle Emlyn, in March earlier this year, the group is now ready to extend its CinemAttic venture to show an on-going series of classic films voted for by Attic audiences.

The series will commence with Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s beautiful masterpiece "Amelie", starring Audrey Tautou and Mathieu Kassovitz. This first screening will take place on Saturday August 9 at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm) and tickets cost just £5 each, available from 'Fair and Fabulous' just across the road from the theatre or online via www.AtticPlayers.org.uk. This film has a '15' certificate proof of age may be asked for.

This is an exciting project which will extend the range of entertainment in the Theatre and although the Attic Players will still be producing the well-loved plays and live drama that audiences have come to expect, CinemAttic will add another dimension for film fans in the Newcastle Emlyn area looking for something a little different to the usual blockbuster movies. Films will be shown on a monthly basis for one night only using the Theatre's new, high quality projection and sound equipment and audiences have the opportunity to vote for their own favourites when they attend a screening.

So go along and enjoy the experience of classic cinema in the bijou theatre in Newcastle Emlyn.
