This is your chance to join Small World Theatre in a new project ‘Cerrig Gleision’ as they prepare to run making workshops and perform with families at this year’s Cardigan Quays Festival.

Small World Theatre invites families to a Megalithic picnic in the Preseli Hills this Saturday August 9. Bring your own sandwiches or food to share and enjoy a child-friendly adventure with local expert Robin Heath, discovering some popular and little known ancient sites. You’ll visit cromlech, stone circles, cairns, hill forts and a bluestone quarry! Meet up 11am at Small World Theatre, Cardigan to share transport or ring 01239 615952 for directions to the first monument.

All Small World Theatre’s children’s summer activities are supported by Ceredigion County Council, and this one ends in an exciting re-enactment at Cardigan’s Quays Festival on Saturday 23 August. Children and their families will make costumes and take part in the performance (it is rumoured that Obelix may appear with a 4,000 year old boat). Bring your friends as this is a golden photo opportunity and something everyone can join in. Full details of all children’s workshops on smallworld.org.uk.
