Theatr Mwldan presents its traditional summer outdoor performances at the Welsh Wildlife Centre, Cilgerran in partnership with The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales beginning with The Pirates of Penzance on Thursday 31 July at 7.30pm.

Equity-compliant Illyria’s cast consists of 7 actor - singers and Musical Director on piano, but that does not mean that there has been any reduction to Gilbert and Sullivan’s libretto or score. This most popular of their comic operas revolves around Frederick, an apprentice pirate who was born on 29 February, he falls in love with a girl on land, but can’t leave the ship until his 21st Birthday (not his 21st year)!

A show filled with laughter, romance and boatload of memorable songs!

The season of performances, which also include Robin Hood on Sunday 10 August, Macbeth on Tuesday 19 August and George’s Marvellous Medicine on Sunday 31 August, are presented on a site with panoramic views of the Teifi Marshes, adjacent to the Wildlife Centre building which offers meals and refreshments in The Glasshouse Café, plus gift shop and toilets.
