Theatr Gwaun, Fishguard, presents the ever-popular Best Foot Forward as they take to the stage with an hilarious full-length English farce in the best Whitehall tradition on July 19, 7.30pm.

Clutching at Straws, by Geoff Bamber, tells the tale of Julia Benning, a pushy young businesswoman who is about to inherit her late uncle's company. However, first she needs to pass the scrutiny of her Aunt Celia, and that includes assessing whether Julia's newly-acquired fiancé is going to be an asset - something he manifestly is not. Julia's solution is to borrow a substitute fiancé in the form of her friend Pippa's womanising brother.

Throw in a lachrymose nurse, a jobbing solicitor and a couple who get the wrong address for their swingers' party, and Celia's house is set for a busy weekend.

Tickets are £7.50 and can be reserved by calling the Theatr Gwaun Box Office on 01348 873421.
