Experience a seamless blend of entertainment and cool wave-riding music with The Bikini Beach Band, an on-screen (SWT Live) appearance by the Sinkoplaters and our host with the most, Beyond Compere. Add fantastic food by Our Two Acres and you have the perfect night out at Cardigan's Small World Theatre on July 11!
The Bikini Beach Band hail from East London and have an unusual take on Surf guitar music (they call it Surf Noir) which has it’s roots in the late 50’s/early 60’s inspired by bands like The Ventures and The Shadows. BBB mix classic surf numbers such as ‘Wipe Out’ and ‘Miserlou’, and contemporary pop songs like ‘Blue Monday’ and ‘Toxic’ with expert musicianship and a great sense of showmanship. While supporting Pulp (by special request) Jarvis Cocker admitted he preferred BBB’s version of ‘Babies’ to Pulp’s own! They are a wicked combination of wild costumes, great set moves and fantastic rock ‘n’ roll delivered absolutely deadpan… Also, firm festival favourites (Big Chill, Bestival, Glastonbury, Latitude, Lovebox, Lost Vagueness, Solfest) these boys cast a ray of sunshine whatever the weather.
Get with the vibe, go totally tubular in your best Hawaiin shirt, Bondi flip-flops and Whitesands Bay baggies! This will be a fabulous evening with guaranteed laughter and plenty of dancing!
