If you weren’t able to get tickets to Glastonbury have no fear! Newport Memorial Hall is holding its own Mini Music Film Festival on Saturday June 28, 6pm to10pm.

The hall will be screening a very well known music festival film from 1969, inclding artists Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Who, Richie Havens, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Santana and Joan Baez.

The hall’s film group volunteers will be ready to serve you drinks from the ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll’ bar, there will also be a falafel stall and an indoor chill out gazebo with comfy cushions.

Weather permitting, the audience be able to unwind in the garden while listening to the festival music.

“Newport Memorial Hall’s film group volunteers are really doing a fantastic job of organising and holding film and themed events for the community. We have had brilliant feedback from the people who have attended previous events, and I am sure that our Mini Music Film Festival will draw a great crowd of people who are up for having a good time and enjoying the music," said Lowri Evans, volunteer officer at the hall.
